Student Council Members, Kathy Stagen and Julie Gritton, announce Mustang Reflections . News in Paxton Lorrie enjoys a birthday party in her honor. Cheryl, Mrs. Henson and Lorrie on Lorrie's birthday. Many innovations were introduced to Paxton High School during the '72-'73 school year. Among them were a Student council-sponsored radio pro- Members of the girls' basketball team try for a rebound, gram, Mustang Reflections , and girls' interscholastic sports. PHS with Gibson City, Fisher, and Rantoul, participated in an intercooperative vocational program, in which we hosted data processing. Bachelor living, a boys' home economics course, was also introduced to the PHS curriculum. Lorrie Bugnosen, our first AFS student from the Philippines, arrived in the summer to make her American home with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Henson and Cheryl. 16

A Homecoming Victory Is................. . . . the hope of building a winning float, only to find you don't have any sponsors. ... the parade of floats, the marching band, cheerleaders, and Homecoming Court, as they make their way to Memorial Field. . . . the announcement of the winners, the float and queen, the introduction of the Mustang football squad, and the moments after the bonfire. ... a pep rally stirring school spirit, the tense football players, and Marvel the Mustang. . . . over 5000 fans filling the stands, the moments before the first kickoff, and a Paxton Mustang win over the Rantoul Eagles, 20-14. . . . decorating the school gym, the dance featuring Mad John Fever and tired, but happy PHS students at the end of a great 72 Homecoming. Patty Graham and Geno Herges take a break'' during the Homecoming dance to chat and listen to the music. Julie Gritton is crowned 1972 Homecoming queen by co-captains, Jim Dunnan and Chuck Lee, at the Homecoming dance. 18
