Junior Class Ever heard of a funny and mischievous old gentleman with the name of Jonathan Puckett? Or how about a scatter-brained, boisterous female labeled Dovie Finkledink? Ever seen a predicament where a Ph.D is mistaken for an M.D.? Now picture a demented character out to kill General Lee—in 1967. Put all these together in a hospital— then add a sophisticated bank president who has to put up with all this. What have you got? “Take Your Medicine”—probably one of the most hilarious plays ever presented at Paxton High. On November 17, 1967, at 8:00, the curtain rose, giving the class of ’69 a chance to “show their stuff”. Under the direction of Mr. Harry Hendershot and student directors Linda Taylor and Sue Schwartz, they really “brought the house down”! 14 Top: Head Nurse Rasmussen disciplines Nurse's Aid Dunnr.n; Falling out of bed at that height isn’t easy; Administrators view the Junior Class Play. Tof : Spirit is kept high in the Homecoming parade; Hans seems fascinated by the Homecoming festivities; This team is g-r-e-a-t? F.H.A. presents their interpretation of Homecoming. Middle: “On to Victory” filled the air along the parade route; It’s cold up here on I.C.E.—first place organization float. Bottom : Anxious to begin, the Letter-girls line up for the Homecoming parade; The class of ’68’s ability to construct winning floats was again displayed this year. “Tree Cheers for the Mustangs” won first place in class competition, making the Seniors the only-class to have won four consecutive years. 13
