Mr. Douglas, Guidance Director The basic purpose of the Guidance Department is to assist students in any area pertaining to educational, vocational, or personal advancement. In order to achieve these objectives as efficiently and effectively as possible, Paxton High has two counselors this year. Presently the boys are held respon- sible for individual projects. Accurate records of all expenses and essential information concerning the project must be kept. In some cases, students who qualify for “on-the-job” training receive actual experience by working on the farm under supervision. This unique and well-rounded course of study produces many fine young future farmers. 22

In the spacious, modern working area of the Home Economics Department, students have access to the newest developments in homemaking equipment and methods.
