Presently the boys are held respon- sible for individual projects. Accurate records of all expenses and essential information concerning the project must be kept. In some cases, students who qualify for “on-the-job” training receive actual experience by working on the farm under supervision. This unique and well-rounded course of study produces many fine young future farmers. 22

A spring art exhibit, a trip to Kran-nert Art Museum, and participation in the Scholastic Art Contest in Champaign have been activities of the classes this year. 21

Mr. Douglas, Guidance Director The basic purpose of the Guidance Department is to assist students in any area pertaining to educational, vocational, or personal advancement. In order to achieve these objectives as efficiently and effectively as possible, Paxton High has two counselors this year.
