Allen K. Swanson Eugene Kingston World History, Civics, Geography, Government, American Problems, and American History are geared to promote a greater understanding and appreciation of the structure and function of our national, state, and local governments. The Civics and Geography programs, which replaced the Community Problems course, have proven to be an interesting and valuable addition to Paxton’s Social Studies Department. Cp£ • f J fiys tea A new sport is introduced to a P.E. class by Mrs. Benear Paxton High’s attractive new gym, and some of the finest equipment available, provide an opportunity for new curricula in P.E. classes. Wrestling, boxing, and square dancing, plus a disaster medical self-help course, were added to the regular program. These improvements helped to provide a wider variety of new sports and activities than have ever before been offered. Norman Henderson
