26 Senior Play, Anastasia The Senior class chose “Anastasia for their last class play. “Anastasia is the story of a young Russian princess who had been missing for several years after a war. Unexpectedly, she appeared when a trio of greedy fortune seekers (played by Tim Moore, Rick Shields, and Chip Pacey) plotted to substitute an actress for the princess and collect some of the royal treasure. They chose a young beggar girl from the streets (played by Lynda Hoover) who happened to fit all the qualifications, and who also happened to be the real princess. This intriguing play was directed by Mr. Jones. In the cast were the following people: Chip Pacey, Gaye Nuss, Rick Shields, Tim Moore, Russ Anderson, Lynda Hoover, Steve Kelley, Mike Griffin, Merrily Jones, Gary Chapman, Rhonda Rattenborg, Pat Sigler, and Ken Rohlfing.

Class Day Upper left: Moving up of classes led by Senior Class President, Donna Zumwalt. Lower left: Reflector dedication to Mrs. Ireland and Mr. Smith by Editor Gary Chapman. Lower right: Senior Class prophecy on Class Day. The crowning event of each Senior year at Paxton High is Class Day. Feelings vary among the Seniors, who realize they’ll not be back at P.C.H.S. again. At that time too, the “green” Freshmen progress to Sophomores, being replaced by a newer, “greener” group from across the street. This day’s activities create the proper atmosphere for the closing day of school—organized chaos—a bit frenzied—a bit nostalgic—excited—anticipatory confusion.
