Christmas The “Christmas Paradise” dance was held on December 1 8, at the Clara Peterson School, where the Junior class decorated the gym, giving it the effect of a winter fantasy. Reigning for the evening were the King and Queen of Christmas, Dan Coplea and Linda Adkins, chosen by student vote. Although the weatherman tried his best to discourage attendance, a fine band and the holiday spirit of the students resulted in a merry time for the subjects of King and Queen Christmas. The Christmas Program on Wednesday afternoon ended the school year of 1964. It included a chorus of songs by the French classes, a play by the Thespians, and several numbers by groups from the Music department. After dismissal, the students happily rushed home, looking forward with joy to seven long days of school-less vacation, gleefully shouting “Merry Christmas” as they dashed out the doors. 20 Upper right—Refreshment Table Lower right—Decorating Christmas tree Upper left—Freshman Madrigals Middle—French Class Lower—Refreshments
