Without clubs’ students’ activities would be limited to classes and sports only, a dull program for many people. Organizations supply an opportunity to develop individual interests. By encouraging people to advance their special abilities and cultivate new ones, these activities supplement classes and help to create a well-rounded school program. Organizations help to further a student’s full potential. 28

National Honor Society The members of the National Honor Society stress high character, leadership, honor and scholarship. The purpose of this organization is to promote wider knowledge through lectures and the preparation of papers. By sponsoring refreshment stands at basketball games, the National Honor Society has raised money for a $50 scholarship which is awarded annually to a deserving senior. Last year’s probationary members were inducted into the Society as active members during a special assembly on January 31. At this assembly, scholastic certificates were presented to those students who have achieved honor roll status but are not members of National Honor Society.
