american field service SUCHJA Suchja Sastraadiwinata, our foreign exchange student, has been a welcome member of our student body this past year. He came to us from Tasikmolaja, West Java, Indonesia, and lived with the William Johnston family while attending school here. He was, indeed, an industrious fellow, for, in addition to his attempt to master our language, he took algebra II, American History, English, biology, and chemistry. His extracurricular activities included membership in Student Council, Band, and Thespians. At home he had already finished his high school education and was planning on attending college to become a doctor. Suchja was able to point out many differences between his school and ours. In fact, Suchja and all his accounts of his home were especially interesting, since he did come from a country that is often in the news and which is almost on the opposite side of the world from us. It is certain that Paxton High School will long remember this little Indonesian. 22
