DEAN EKWIN Transfer from Fisher 3; Ind. Arts Club 4. SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In 1950 we became known, as the Freshman Class of Paxton High School. We survived Freshman Initiation as most classes do, and looked forward to our four years of high school. Dick Thompson was elected class president. We were the proud supporters of an undefeated Fresh-Soph football team. Bill Gullett was our class president as Sophomores, and the year passed smoothly, with no outstanding events; except that our reputation as “tradition breakers” was beginning to develop. Our Junior year was our “best”. The Junior Play, “Our Hearts Were Young and Gay,” was considered one of the best in many years. Our float won first prize at HOMECOMING. The Junior-Senior Prom was very beautiful and entertaining—the theme being “Antoine’s.” During this year Tom Caldwell was class president. Again in our Senior year our float won first prize. Pat Hill was Senior Class President. A new yearbook was born—the 1954 REFLECTOR was a smaller, more modern book. We graduated with many pleasant memories to look back on in years ahead. —21—
