GUIDANCE PROGRAM: Left to Right A l Mclsmncy Waylme Becth There are two prlnclpal objecttves of the guldance program ln our school The flrst 15 the counselmg servlce whlch conslsts of bnnglng the students and counselor together to plan a sultable four year course to fit the needs of the student Freshmen are glven an lntroductxon to the varlous courses offered 111 their General Sclence classes under the superv1s1on of Mr Porter Durmg the year, students are subjected to several tests whlch measure aptltudes, mterests, and abllltles ln dlfferent frelds These tests are glyen by Mr Porter, Mrs C arlsten, tests and the student's future plans, tentative schedules are made out durxng a pm are conference between Mr McK1nney and the student The second objectxvc consists of cnlxstung thc efforts of both facultx and students to effect a satlsfactory school and soclal adjusmcnt for each studcnt A balanced program of actlvmes are provtded to supplement the regular aca lemlc work, and all students are encouarged to partlcnpatc, prouded they are lntc cstecl and have suffxclent tlme , ,.
