The problem of what to do with study hall time was solved beautifully by eight seniors who volunteered to tutor grade school pupils with reading difficulties. The students meet with the children regularly from 2 to 5 times weekly and help them with oral reading, spelling and other language arts skills. A weekly seminar is held with Mrs. Nichols to discuss educational methods, materials, innovations, and special problems encountered in teaching.
