SHADES OF FALL Every year the football team picks candidates for the Homecoming Queen. There is one Freshman candidate, one Sophomore candidate, two Junior candidates, and two Senior candidates. The student body votes on a candidate the day of the bonfire, and then at the bonfire that night, the queen is announced. She reigns over the whole weekend as queen. Saturday morning, she leads her court in the parade and circles the football field at half-time. The captain of the football team presents her with an autographed football. That night, she is crowned Queen of the Homecoming Dance. The Student Council is always in charge of the dance, and this year the theme was Shades of Fall. Five floats entered the Homecoming parade this year, each showing the hard work of the class which it represented. The most beautiful float was the Sophomore's Victory Lane and the most original float was the Senior's Snoopy's on our Side. The Marching Band led the parade and furnished the bystanders as well as the rest of the parade with welcomed music. Queen Kay and her court added an extra touch of beauty to the parade. 14
