PRESENTING THE 1961 INDIAN ECHOES We of the Senior Class of 1961 areproud of our achievements while attending P.H.S. It seems only yesterday that we registered as freshmen. We are happy to be graduating, but we are sad at the thought that life at Pawnee High is over for us. We are proud of our extra-curricular activities. We have taken part in the activities of such clubs as F.H.A., F.F.A., Industrial Arts Club, Library Club, and other organizations. In choir and band we cultivated our musical talents. The “Indians” weren’t to be outdone athletically. In the tournaments, the Indians” placed first at the Waverly Holiday Tournament and fourth at the Sangamon County Tournament. They finished the season with a 22-5 record. Social life is another lesson taught in the chapter of life termed High School. Our memories will always hold high the thought of the after game dances, and our first date. Our social life was topped off by our prom, “Tres Gai.” Most important of all, we are proud of our scholastic achievements. Many of our class members will further their education by attending college. Others will go. into the world of business, or military service. During our four years at Pawnee High we developed mentally, physically, and socially. So in leaving we do not want to say goodbye just “So Long.” Carol Schnapp Editor
