The yearbook staff would like to thank them for their sincere dedication to and concern for the students, school, and community. The end of the 1985-86 year is a momentous one for Mrs. Johnson, because it is the completion of twenty years of service to the Pawnee Public Schools. We would like to take this time to thank her for the many hours she has spent at her job and the effort she has put into it. After four years as principal, Mr. Bayliff continues to strive to ensure that each student receives a quality education. His concern for the students is overlooked by some, because he has the thankless job of disciplinarian. We would like to dedicate the Bruin to him to show in some part our respect for him and job he does. 3 Tracks of Improvement The opening of the Coyle Smith Complex brought needed space and the chance for elementary students to become more involved in the physical education program. The opening of the new elementary library was a welcome improvement for the students and teachers. Mr. Ray could be seen working at various tasks TheKG h 'Cn!f tab,es were 9uick,y Put t0 good to improve the appearance of our facilities. use the students With the addition of a computer class to the high school curriculum, new computers were purchased. 5 Administration and School Board Mr. Leroy Bayliff H.S. When it is someone of the quality of Brett, it is a real tragedy for the entire community. Brett was a child of exceptional warmth and wisdom, and his loss leaves a void in all our lives that will not be readily filled. For us who are left, he will continue to live in our memories and our hearts. JANIE POTEET An educator of the quality of Janie Poteet holds a very special position in society, and all the amassed superlatives that literature has used to describe outstanding educators could very easily be put together for a vivid description of Janie Poteet. Intelligent, dedicated, caring, supportive, courageous — these are adjectives that could be synonymous with Janie, and yet, they are more than words — they are the virtues that Janie lived each and every day. Our lives shall be emptier for her absence, because they were made fuller by her presence. 10 Seated. L. to R.: J. Majors. C. Cagle. J. Day. A. Dennis. R. Brown. Standing. L. to R.: C. Dallas. T.
