i i DEDICATION i The Bruin Staff of 1953 wish to dedicate this annual to the Pawnee High School Band as recognition for having won ten state championships in the past seven years. Music is not only the most complex of all the arts but the best mental and physical co-ordination exercise ever developed by man, according to eminent psychologists. We realize also that music is the only common expression of thought and emotions that is understood and appreciated by people of all nations and tongues. The Pawnee Band, under the leadership of Ashley Alex □nder, has sponsored the Pawnee Parade which attracted • 47 bands last year and was the second largest music festival in Oklahoma.
