After all, what is life without Birdie’s sexy growl and nervous hips. It's also rough on Birdie’s song writing manager, Albert Peterson, who survives on ten percent of Birdie and has hopes of making his devoted secretary, Rose Alvarez, his devoted-wife. Like a good secretary, she plots to save her boss by arranging a farewell appearance for Birdie on the Ed Sullivan TV Show. The gimmick? Birdie will sing his manager’s song “One Last Kiss” and give one last kiss to one last miss. The lucky kisser is a lovely young gal, Kim MacAfee, who digs the whole bit in spite of her all-but-destroyed boyfriend, Hugo Peabody. Everything is on-again off-again until the big night, the big show, the big song, the big success. Both boys keep both girls and Birdie, off to the army, remains first in the hearts of his country girls. Mr. Rahn Vander Hamm, Mrs. Virginia McKim. Mr. Bob Patterson, and Mrs. Lois Dovel. at the piano, put a lot of work into this mus'cal production and made it a big success. You could always see David Andrews and David Fink running around backstage. If they weren't carrying props on or off stage you could see them raising or lowering the scenery.
