School Board The Pawnee City School Board was kept busy this year. The consolidation of several rural school dis- tricts into one unified dis- trict necessitated the for- mation of a nine-member board. They negotiated the purchases of new school buses and a a new heating system for the high school building. The school board also made a historical ruling in allowing girls to wear slacks to school. The stu- dent revised handbook was also approved by the school board. The school board listens attentively while school board president Robert Schilling explains the issues. Front Row: Mrs. Richard Farwell, Sec.; Leslie Phillips, Robert Schilling, Jr., Pres.; Glen Binder, Treas. Back Row: Mrs. Keith Richardson, Wallace Johnson, Alfred Raper, Carl Boehmer, William Sunnenberg.
