Larry Graham, Bill Snyder, Sidney Borcher, and Roger McDougle were the returning senior lettermen in the line of this year's Pawnee City Indians. They had a tough job leading our small inexperienced ball club to a winning season; but with a great deal of hard work and tremendous cooperation from the underclassmen the season was a success. Larry Graham, Bill Snyder, and Sid Borcher were honored by being selected to the Southeast Border Conference All-Conference team. Co-captain Larry, a 250 lb. tackle, with plenty of speed and agility was one of the best, if not the best tackle in the conference. Larry was also a great help in lifting the boys' spirits and getting them fired up for ball games. Co-captain Bill, better known as Duke, a 185 pound offensive center and defensive linebacker played heads up ball all year and was a terrific morale builder and leader. This was Bill's second consecutive year of being selected to the All-Conference team. Sid, a 175 pound guard, made up for his size by out maneuvering his opponents and a great deal of in- testinal fortitude. He was a great competitor and it will take a tremendous effort for some underclassman to step in and fill his shoes.
