GANZEL The Future Fanners of America is the national organization of, by, and for farm boys studying vocational agriculture in public and secondary schools, which operate under the provisions of the National Vocational Education Acts. It is an educational, nonpolitical, non-profit, farm youth organization of voluntary membership, designed to develop agricultural leadership, character, thrift, scholarship, cooperation, citizenship, and patriotism. Its members learn through participating experiences how to conduct and take part in public meetings, to speak In public, and to assume civic responsibility. The r. F. A. is an intra-curricular part of vocational education in agriculture in the public school system of America. It constitutes one of the most effective devices for teaching through participating experiences. The Pawnee City Chapter received its Charter in 1929 and has had an active Chapter for 23 years. We have had four advisors: Mr. Rosen- berger, 1 year; Mr. Deems, 7 Years; Mr. Vance, 13 years; Mr. Ganzel, 2 years. Some of the activities of the F. F. A. this year were giving Yorkshire gilts to David F'lanagin and Donald Caswell and ewes to David Hoffman, state and district conventions, educational trips to Aksarben and St. Louis.
