It is an educational, non-political, non- profit, farm youth organization of voluntary membership, designed to develop agricultural leadership, character, thrift, scholarship, co- operation, citizenship, and patriotism. Its members learn through participating expe- riences how to conduct and take part in public meetings, to speak in public, and to assume civic responsibility. The F. F. A. is an intra- curricular part of vocational education in agriculture in the public school system of America. It constitutes one of the most effec- tive devices for teaching through participating experiences. The Pawnee City Chapter received its Charter in 1929 and has had an active Chap- ter for twenty-one years. We have had three advisors; Mr. Rosenberger, 1 year, Mr. Deems, 7 years; and Mr. Vance, 13 years. Page 24
