In it were displays of painting, pottery, paper mache, and copper tooling. Other entertainment at the festival consisted of the band, the choir, and the Varsity choir. Mrs. Edinger directed a play called The Case of the Missing Kaleidescope. Mrs. Bassett was in charge of the Festival. Talented students performed for the multitudes under the direction of Ms. Beurkens. 128 129 Au bord de la Mer 132 The class of 1974 was the third class to hold outdoor ceremonies at the Tyler field. Graduation was held at 7:30 PM on June 6, 1974. Karen Ross and Chris Herring co-Valedictorians, addressed their class. Gary Stock was Salutatorian. A collective sigh of relief! JUNIOR CLASS CANDIDATES: Maryanne Tarala and Vivian Rooi 137 Winners in the homecoming talent show were Dave Field, Randy Reszka, Don Field, and Ric Weeks, first place, for singing “Ventura Highway.” Second place was taken by Sherri Pachner who performed a modern dance. Terri Wilkenson and Jill Hoffman performed a skit that took third place. The Junior class won the float competition, with Sophomores second, and Freshmen third. The Senior class did not enter a float in the competition.
