JACK BRANTINGHAM PRESIDENT SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS JOHN HARRISON VICE-PRESIDENT RICH ZYGADLO RICK SENICA TREASURER SECRETARY Another senior class graduates, its members important now only to their relatives, their friends, underclassmen, and themselves. They have contributed an excellent Junior-Senior Prom, banquets, and dances. They leave behind more lasting evidence of their contributions: a few scuff marks in the halls, inscriptions on the cafeteria tables, gum under the desks, and generally, six years of age to the high school. But more important than these are the benefits which they may give to the world: technicians, mechanics, athletes, businessmen, secretaries, housewives, and perhaps a few scholars. The members of the class of '68 sincerely hope to make these contributions to the world. Mary Jo Eckloff, the valedictorian, led these seniors into the graduation ceremonies. Diana Braganini and Keith Hood enjoyed the 67 Junior-Senior Prom as they talked with Bob Crocker a 66 Paw Paw graduate. Meanwhile Terry Tapper and Linda Prawat danced to the music o£ Don Stykes and his orchestra. 67 The varsity cheerleaders, Eleda Giddings, Raeanne Markovich, Pat Reits, Kathy Racette, Liz McIntosh and Nancy Kaukola, have been a tremendous success in generating spirit in their fellow classmates at the Friday afternoon Pep Assemblies. The Paw Paw High School Band puts much work into their performances of the assemblies and games. ASSEMBLIES In the wrestling match between the Paw Paw Redskins and the Berrien Springs Shamrocks Dale Strong (above pinning his opponent) helped our team gain another victory. 68 The senior section is seen competing for the Victory Jug during one of the cheering contests, in which their biggest competition is the 7th graders. The Michigan Avenue School was selected as having the best lighting facilities for presenting the play. The Michigan Avenue School was closed down temporarily on February 21st, for structural repairs, which delayed work on the South Pacific play production for two weeks. Mr. Brian Mich, Miss Carol Booth, Mr. David Henckel, Mr. Don Horton, and Mr. Leo Kline contributed much of their time to the production, by being advisors to the cast, and many committees involved in the production. Paw Paw was proud to present South Pacific, a musical written by Rodgers and Hamerstein. It was the largest production ever held at Paw Paw High School, since it included 26 scenes and 39 characters. The Play was put on by the Fine Arts Department which included: Speech, Art, Vocal Music, and Instrumental music. An incredibly large number of students contributed to the play. Mike Bryant and Jim Elmore were two of the twenty-five students who volunteered to work on the construction crew and are seen here extending the stage five feet and measuring scenery. 69 Because of the enthusiasm of the large number of participants of the basketball and volleyball players teams were organized so everyone had an equal chance to play. On Monday nights intramural sports were held for anyone who wished to participate. Some of the activities included are gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, and ping pong. Coleen Wilson helps Lauri Daines as she maneuvers off the horse into a back bend. Mr. Engler and Mr. Henkel supervise the trampoline activity. 70 DANCES The bonfire and pep rally for the '67 homecoming highlighted a tremendous rise in school spirit this year. A record number of spectator buses was sent to away games. A big part of our enthusiasm was demonstrated the night of October 12, as spirit was obviously high and the cheers for victory were loud and clear. H O M E C B O O M N I F N I G R E 73 HAPPINESS John Rossman, Pam Cornish, Fran Bur-field and John Karpiel are two of the many couples seen enjoying themselves between dances. Betty Maxam and Deny Flood are having a delightful evening of dancing to the music of Don Stykes and his orchestra.
