HOMECOMING 1961 Homecoming 1961 was held on a cold, clear, Octoberday. It was preceeded by an exciting Thursday night bonfire. The traditional afternoon parade was followed by a pep rally in the downtown park. There, the queen candidates and the football players were introduced to the cheering crowd. That evening, the Paw Paw players met a tough, determined South Haven team on the grass of Tyler Field. During the halftime period, Lynne McGuire was crowned Homecoming Queen by Bill McGaughey, an injured football player. Lynne later reigned over the beautiful homecoming dance in the new high school. 1a Queen Lynne, and escort Jim Warner at Homecoming Dance.
