l CLASS PROPHECY During the last six months all the Seniors of the Class ol' 1948-1949 have lfullilletl their agreement to bring me up to date on their progress during the past ten years. Here it is as I have been told: Clenn Cooley is now proprietor of rl odd's Crocery. Lethan Ashford and Ned Featherstone are his chiel clerks. Dwight Price, manager ol' Queen City Coach Company, has recently hired three new drivers: Emerson Edwards, Clinton Primm and Dwight Primm. Raymond Auten and Stokes Seegers recently opened, a new play on Broadway with Betty Lewis as the star ol the show. Wforth Campbell, an accomplished pianist, recently accompanied Dorothy Clark, who made her singing debut over a coast-to-coast program. Hoyt Johnston now owns a dry-cleaning business in Charlotte. Bud Lewis and Coyte VVilliams drive his delivery trucks. Elizabeth Cooper is now a model in Rich's Store in Atlanta, Ca. Sara l-ec lvey is also working at Pxich's as hostess inthe Antoine Salon. Gscar Kelly and Ernest Todd, the boys who had the opportunity ol' Iinishing high school during the summer of '49, are now quite well known, Oscar is coaching basket- ball at North Carolina State College and Ernest, who was our ace driver, recently set a one-hundred and eighty lXl.P.ll. stock car record. Carolyn Thompson is a lady columnist, 'lihis 'n' 'lihatn is the name ol' her column which appears in all the large newspapers. It seems as if Ann Boiter and Donald Vau fhn never left Paw Creek.
