Mooney, Mr. Kelsen, K, Schwab. WANTED F.T.A. This year our F.T.A. has tried to be more active. The advisor and officers for this year are as follows: Mr. Kel- sen, advisor, Rose Marie DeFelice, President, Carol Hettrick, Vice-Presi- dent, Cindy Rudgers, Secretary-Treas- urer, Carolyn Tufts, Historian, and Shirley Wadd, Publicity Director. In the beginning of the year we drew up the first F.T.A. constitution and ratified it. For the very first time the club conducted a very impressive initiation at which our parents and faculty were invited. ln the line of colleges, we visited Geneseo and Syra- cuse. We also attended the district R.A.F.T. iRochester Area Future Teachers'l annual meeting, of which one of our members Rose Marie De- Flice is the historian. During the year many members have been assisting the grade teachers. Various cadet teachers came in for an interview. Again, this year we sold school supplies and put the profit in- to the Nellie Wells fund. The club also held a meeting where we invited schools that didn't have F.T.A. Clubs. Front Row: Mrs. Officers of the Library Club are President, Sharon Russell, Vice-Presi- dent, Erma Platten, Secretary, Joyce Rider, Treasurer, Sylvia Stalica. Each girl gives two periods a week of her time to help with the routine duties in the library. Everyone has a hand in arranging bulletin boards, shelving books, processing new books and sending out overdue reminders. The big event of the year was the Book Fair, at which new books were displayed and orders taken. The re- sponse to this project 'greatly exceeded our expectations, and we were very busy filling all the orders. Also we sold school pennants at the basketball games. FQHQAQ F.H.A. is a part ofthe Western Dis- trict A division and is honored by the election ofAJudy Wright as District Song and Recreation Leader for the Year l958 and '59, Each'year the FHA. sponsors o variety of activities for its members some of these include: An informal and formal initiation con- sisting ot a day of fun, followed by a dinner for the pledges guild by the old members and impressive formal ceremony. There are two rallies, spring and toll, which are attended by all chapters in the Western District and includes Erie, Genesse and Niagara Counties. They are: President, Shirley Ricks, Vice-President, Gale George, Senior Secretory- Treasurer, Pat Tytler, Junior Sec- retary-Treasurer, Bonnie Schwab. ln October, Mrs. Margaret Mc- Lean, the County Public Health Nurse, spoke to the club. In November, the Nurses Club visited the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw.
