Rember When . . . In September 1981, the Class of 1985 started our big year as Freshmen. Now we were considered in Senior High. With the help of our class officers, Pres. Chris Giovannitti, Vice Pres. Tina Cooper, Sec. Tracey Vic- tor, Treas. Lori Ann Kidd, Class Representatives: Crys- tal Galletta and Kay Widener, and our advisor Mr. Lynch. Our class was the first that needed 110 credits to graduate. We sold record albums and tapes to raise money for our senior trip. That first year as senior high students went slow, but soon we returned as sophomores. To lead us through the year, we elected Pres. Tina Cooper, Vice Pres. Chris Giovannitti, Sec. Tracey Victor, Treas. Lori Ann Kidd, Class Rep. Crystal Galletta and our advisor was Mr. Platt. We worked hard selling magazines and were rewarded by a trip to Great Adventure. Our slogan Filled with Energy, Filled with Pride, We're the Class of 85 was submitted by Lori Ann Kidd. For the first time, computer classes were offered at our school. This was also the year to order our class rings. Many of us watched the production of God- spell , which was enjoyed by all. The first half of our high school education was now completed. We were now juniors with officers, Pres. Tina Cooper, Vice Pres. Chris Giovannitti, Sec. Tracey Victor, Treas. Lori Ann Kidd, Class Rep. Crystal Gal- letta and our advisor was Mrs. Hilton. The asbestos was removed and a new P.A. system was put in. Mr. Palatucci took over the position as Principal, replacing Mr. Catando. Mr. Jones became the new Assistant Principal. The Hall of Honor and Student of the Month were initiated. We received our class rings in the fall Cwill you turn my ringl. Our senior portraits were taken. In April the play Once upon a Mattress was presented and again was a great success. To help with the cost of the Prom, we sold candy. In the spring we were put in charge of the Junior-Senior Prom, the theme being Perfect Combination , a song by Stacy Ladasaw and Johnny Gills. With the help of Purple Haze who provided music, lights, and haze',, the prom became a night we would never forget. The Pegasus was painted in the middle of the gym floor. Finally, in September 1984, we achieved the ultimate and became Seniors. It was at long last our chance to rule the school . We chose class officers. Pres: Robert fDarryD Herder, Vice Pres: Kelvin Orr, Sec: Tracey Victor, Treas: Lori Ann Kidd, Class Rep: Crystal Gal- letta and Wade Hulmes. Our advisors were Miss Miles and Mr. Limanni. We had our final fund-raiser selling Christmas cards. Along came Homecoming with the theme Fall Festi- val . Stacey Cowgill was our Student Council Pres. with Mr. Keepers as advisor. Our final stage production put on by Rev. and Mrs. Murphy was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat . What we had been looking forward to for four years had finally arrived. We were off to four fun filled days in Florida. Upon our return all we could think about was Baccalaureate and finally GRADUATION!!! We experienced joy, yet sadness as our diplomas were placed in our hand. With the tidings of Congratula- tions and feelings of relief, we took that big sigh and tossed our caps high into the sky at school's end. Now we are leaving the hallowed halls of P.H.S., not as children but as adults, and as the future of our nation. All of this will remain with us throughout our lives when we say . . . Remember When . . . Stacey Cowgill

Silhou- etted agains the horizon, its drapes lit with fiery color from the dying glow, was the balloon. Like the back- drop from a Hollywood movie set, it hung, suspended in time for a brief second between twilight and night. Stars, like candles in the darkness, guided it through the way from which it had come. The wind blew it toward the canyons, mirrors of red and gold. It flew, in that brief sus- pension of time, then was gone, a , moth in the night, gone only to reap- f pear when dusk should fall again. li ,. x. V '- 22, fa:-5234:-f
