November December September October January February We began the winter months of the year by electing Tom Kean as our new governor. He edged out Jim Florio by less than 2000 votes. This was one of the closest elec- tions ever recorded. In mid-No- vember the spaceship Columbia, which was the first re-usable spa- cecraft, went into orbit for the sec- ond time. Thanksgiving brought in the holiday season, Christmas was just as great a day as ever, and New Years brought in 1982, our year. Our first day as seniors was Sep- tember 9, 1981. We all felt a sense of pride and leadership that grew with us as the year progressed. Such musical groups as Genisis, AC DC, and the Kinks visited Philadelphia during the fall of 1981. But, probably, the most memorable were the Rolling Stones who sold out J.F.K. Stadi- um for two shows, September 25th and 26th. If you were not into mu- sic there was always sports. Our football team kept its' tradition going by having another winning season. Our girls hockey team worked hard all season and did well in the playoffs. Homecoming fell the same day as Halloween, October 31. We beat Sterling 25- 15, and after the game held our Homcoming Dance. The theme was Endless Love . A ugust 14 Our graduation year came in with a bang! The winter months were times for doing homework in front of the fireplace, throwing snowballs at our friends, and snuggling up to someone close to us. The winter sports season was well under way by Cale America's favorite pas- time, baseball, was in the midst of a strike. Our new President, Ronald Rea- gan, was working hard on the 1981 budget cuts. The hot T.V. show during the summer was General Hospital. We, who, didn't have summer jobs, slept till noon, layed around all day, partied all night, and had many thoughts about our upcoming senior year. July
