Peace came, but the Student Council continued to support an under privileged Vietnam- ese child. The money was raised by different student involved activities. Over 3538 was earned by selling and delivering valentines. Other monies came from the sale of donuts, pop, school supplies, spirit day and Homecoming mums. The Council sponsored Homecoming with cash prizes for the best floats. Sopho- mores Won with the float Skunk the Savages . SC dec- orated the school Christmas tree and also sponsored prizes for the best decorated class- room door. They tried some- thing never done before in PVHS which promoted stu- dent involvement during the basketball and wrestling sea- son. The class with the high- est percentage attending the games was able to pay half price for the next Week's games. The old Panther emblem in the gym was retired and a new more ferocious Panther head was painted. Members served as guides to visitors who attended Open House.
