During the 1950-1951 football season, the Paulding Panthers were not situated in the best of environment. The complications were many and the times were trying. We started off our season with a victory over Leipsic. Then we had an epidemic of Polio. We lost one of our players and were forced to cease practice. The schedule was rearranged, and we played six games in 16 days. That was a big order to fill. lt was feared that the team might lose interest, but it was quite evident that the spirit of the boys remained untouched.
