To the seniors of '66: History may well reflect that the high school graduates of the six- ties in large measure determined the civilization of the twenty-first century. In this decade of unlimited op- portunity it cannot be said I didn't have a chance. Your graduation, a step of end- ing or a step of beginning, is a landmark for each of you. I trust the foundation is secure and this is a launchpad to a successful life—a successful life of your choice, as a homemaker, farmer, teacher, doctor, lawyer, engineer, or secretary. The faculty and staff wish for you a full life of understanding, competence, and progress. The real worth of Dorman High will not be measured by archi- tectural design but rather by its impact on the lives of its gradu- ates and the intellectual and spiritual values for which it stands. CLARK Assistant Principal Dorman High is now well into its second year of operation and already it is beginning to have an im- pact upon the local and state levels in academic and extracurricular activities. The 1964-1965 school year was spent consolidating two student bodies and solv- ing many problems that came as a result of this edu- cational progress. Education cannot be evaluated in terms of one or two years, but no one doubts for a moment the excellent opportunities, the challenges and the brightness of the future for the students who are privileged to attend Dorman High School. Dorman High's destiny as a quality secondary edu- cational institution is assured. Surely, all who reside in Spartanburg County School District Six must be proud. —ALLEN O. CLARK.

TRUSTEES Our administration is charged with the tremendous responsibility of giving every student the best edu- cation possible. To operate an effective high school requires the concerted efforts of many people and each of those charged with this responsibility performs most capably. The top policy makers for all District Six schools form the Board of Trustees. These men represent the people of our school district. They are men dedicated to the task of educating the students in our school and others in this District. Mr. Paul M. Dorman, our superintendent, has shown outstanding leadership in handling the affairs of our District. It is his desire that we always climb ambi- tiously toward the top of the ladder of success. Mr. L. E. Gable, business manager, very efficiently performs his role of taking care of the buying and other business affairs in the district. Good administrators need good assistants. Mrs. Mar- guerite Hayes, our secretary; Mr. J. T. Mabry, our bookkeeper, and Mr. John Tillotson, director of instruc- tion, have always performed their duties untiringly. These people who make up the Administrative Staff of School District Six have helped us to realize that the words of the songwriter “You'll Never Walk Alone are true in every respect.
