Mr. Bobby McDaniel’s chemistry class experiments with laboratory equipment in the electrolysis of water. Beginning in the physical education class, boys eagerly work- out in order to make the team. Weight lifting has proved most helpful in building strong athletes. Experimentation And Practice Prove Worthwhile Physics class experiments with free-fall apparatus to determine the acceleration of gravity at the location of the physics lab. During a practice session, Coach Corn instructs the football team in the tactics of ball handling, blocking, tackling, and running. 10 Hours of diligent toil go into the planning of a year's work at Dorman.

Tardy students must check into office before reporting to class. Mr. Jesse S. Bobo addresses Student body during National Honor Society program. Educator Urges Students To Reach Higher Goals The various scenes of activities and every- day routine at Dorman depict only a part of the busy 180 days of school life. The office at Dorman is a place of hustling each morning as students check in, attend- ance boards are collected, and the days announcements are typed. In addition to the speech of Mr. J. S. Bobo at its first induction ceremony, four senior members explained the cardinal principles of the National Honor Society—leadership, scholarship, character, and service. Conclud- ing the program was a candle-lighting serv- ice centered around the flaming torch. Football always plays an important role in any school. A group of dedicated fans organized by the PTA made up a caravan to all out of town games. A fee of 50 f per student was charged for transportation. This money was turned over to the school to aid in the beautification program. As a climax to the 1965 season a football banquet was held honoring everyone who had helped to make the season the success that it was. Fighting Cavaliers led by quarterback Tommy Owens struggle for first down. Varsity and Junior Varsity enjoy annual football banquet.
