Band members prepare for stiff inspection before public performance. Russell Walden, Ronnie Thornton, and Kirk McKeown collect canned goods and toys to spread Christmas cheer. Council Reactivates Student Participation Christmas season was an active time at Dorman. The Student Council, backed by the faculty and student body, started the season by erecting and decorating a huge tree in the lobby. Boxes of food and toys were collected and distributed to those less fortunate. Participating in the city's annual Christmas parade, the Marching Cavaliers underwent stiff inspection in readiness for the parade. Another example of Christmas giving was that of the Anchor Club. The members unani- mously voted to help four underprivileged children. Pennants were sold to help provide money for this project. The true Christmas Spirit prevailed throughout the school. One of the many projects of the Anchor Club was selling pennants. Officers left to right are Annette Collins, Cheryl McGaha, Elaine Anderson, and Peggy Malone. Buying pennant is member Vicki Outz. The Marching Cavaliers display precision in performance at the Spartanburg Annual Christmas Parade.
