Originally an ASW plat- form, the ship's capabilities remain strong today with the Sonar Technicians CSTGD and Torpedoman's Mates CTMD. CA Division is organized, into Sonar and Torpedo Work centers, ich led by an expe- rienced petty officer. Sailors maintain the SQS-53B hull, mounted sonar, the SQR-19 towed array sonar, the MK 116 fire control system, and the Various torpedoes and their launchers.
