After joining the Navy in August of 1979, he completed Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois. Master Chief Petty Officer Zoppy reported on board the USS PAUL F. FOSTER in August of 1998. His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Battle E Award, Good Conduct Award, National Defense Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon, and pistol qualification with Expert . Master Chief Zoppy is married to the for- mer Emiliana Santos of Angeles City, Philippines and has one son, Chris and one daughter, Anne Marie. They reside in Everett, Washington.
