A Message from Our Principal. Mr. Larsen Forty-two of our students are leaving Patterson High, some to go to college, some to the armed forces, some to be married, and some to work. What the student is going to be in later life is started in influenced to a great extent by his high school life. Students of Patterson High have come to realize that high school is the preparatory work for the job of becoming an individual and a citizen. The more preparation that the school can give in this adapting, the more training in the goals of life, the forming oi sound bases, the easing of the transition from adolescence to adulthood, the better job the school is doing. We hope that we have been successful, for if we have, you will become a successful and happy, good citizen in later life. Congratulations to the Class of 1953: we have enjoyed having you with us and hope that all your desires and aspirations will come to you successfully. 4
