P H S MFMORIES 1935 14 Pats defeated the Coal C1ty lads 27 16 18-Semester exams were glven today 21 Ex erybody IS back to school feelmg flne after the11 vacatlon except Mac who has a black eye He says he got lt playmg basket ball but me are wonder1ng ' JANUARY 1 Many puplls are maklng New Year s Resolutlons 11 Fleedom met us on the hardwood and was defeated 23 12 Second team won 21 7 16-Senlors are thlnklng about the play they are golng to glV9 18 Wabash Valley Tourney Pats won thelr first game of the tourney by outcastlng Coal C1ty 23 Mr Woodward Herff Jones representat1ve came to see the Junlors 26 Cloverdale took the Wabash Valley Tourney very unex pectedly 30 After g1v1ng us a S1Xty mmute speech 1n Algebra Mac thought he had made enough no1se for a wh1le FEBRUARY 8 The Senlors pose for the photographs We are hopmg that Clare Nub and Gert1e take good cale of the muslc box 12 Freshmen Sophomores Jun1ors and basket ball lads pose for the photographer 14 Mac seems to be gett1ng plenty of Valentmes as h1S desk IS covel ed w1th them The Alumm was the v1ct1m of our fast travellng basket tossers 19 13 15 The Semors were asslgned parts ln the1r class play SIX WVIVQS on a Rampage 19 The Slx Wlves go on thexr flrst Rampage today 22 Qumcy defeated Pats 1n a xely close overtlme game 25 Do the Jumors look happy? Yep they got thelr class rlngs today MARCH 1 The Sectlonall Bowl1ng Green overpowe1ed Pats by a three polnt vlctory 6 Class Tourneylll The Sophomoles defeated the Jumors 27 4 The second game between the Freshles and Senlors proved very ex c t1ng The Freshmen used Clyde Holmes to a good advantage and near the end of the game they gamed a two polnt lead whlch they kept untll the wh1stle blew In the flnal game the Sophomores proved too good for the Freshmen The Sophomores were leadmg wlth a score of 40 16 22 The Semors presented the1r class play SIX Wlves On A Rampage before a large aud1ence that filled the gymnaslum APRIL 14 Baccalaureate yn as held 1n the gymnaslum 18 Commencement GXEFCISGS sn ere held ln the gymnaslum The Semors kept thelr dlgnlty by uearmg caps and gowns The speaker for the evemng was Professor F C Tllden of DePauw 19-School IS outll All s xx ell that ends well 20 Alumm Banquet was glven 1n honor of the new Hlgh School Graduates 31 . . . P H S MEMORIES 1935 CALENDAR QBy Jewel Oberholtzerj SEPTEMBER 3-School opened Wlth a bang 11 Senlors elected Nelson Grafe to the dxgnlfied office of Pres ldent A large crowd attended the first Parent Teachers meetlng of our school year 12 The Freshmen came to the 1n1t1at1on for the1r work out whlch they dlmly reahzed Was the1r only way of attalnmg hlgh school membersh1p 13 The Senlors began the1r Hlgh Pressure Candy Salesmansh1p 14 Mac began to show h1s love for the Semors by throwlng a test 1n Health 21 Volley ball tournament' Semors took the Rhlnles over' Sophomores beat the Jun1ors T1me was up and the tourney was left unflnlshed 25 Senlors and Fresh1es experlenced the1r first B1ology h1ke 26 As Mac had to go to Terre Haute to play ln a baseball game there was nothmg left for we poor Senlors except an awful test IH Health Elghteen boys answered to Mac s call for basket ball players Freshles are saylng only one month of school gone whlle the Sen1ors are saymg seven more months of school OCTOBER Our advertlsmg commlttee are gettmg advert1sements for our annual Harrlson IS our bashful boy that Just can t get advert1sements The B1ology class had the pleasure of playlng Wlth a snake Clyde says Mr Maybaugh and I Just can t agree In our first basket ball game of the season our lads todk over Coal Clty 25 19 25 Semors got out of school th1s afternoon to secure advertlse ments for the annual 26 The basket ball boys journeyed to Clay Clty tonxght for a tough game 31-Senlors declded to wear caps and gowns for Commencement NOVEMBER 6 We selected our cards and 1nv1tat1ons 9 Armlstlce program was glven 1n the gym Pats played a hard fought game Wlth Bowhng Green 19 Mac says for the Senlors to be sure and brmg the1r feet to Health class tomorrow 20 The Domest1c Sclence class made DIES today and were they good?
