The grade operetta was not presented on account of sickness The Freshness gave the high school a Christmas party and Santa Claus WlSlt8d us at the party and gave out our gifts JANUARY Happy New Year' Everybody is back after their vacation which was veI'V enjoyable We are all busy on the last lap of the school year Senior salesmen came home- with some ads Seniors chose their class play Business Picks Up pals meeting 6-Qumcy came to play basketball with the Pats and did we wallop them an even fifty to seven' The Economics books arrived and we had our first class today A very large crowd attended Parent Teachers meeting to see the Negro Minstrel given by the town boys being conducted by Mrs Davidson The Gir s Glee club sang ln public for the first time The chorus members began singing their solos for voice tests It s hard on you lf you have a weak heart The girls basketball team demonstrated some new plays today Friday the thirteenth and luckv for us Jinks Freedom boys met the Pats on the Pats floor and did we get our rex enge Pats 37 Free dom 29 We had school todav to make up for Election Day We had a volley tourney and of course the SENIORS won Mr Woodward Herff Jones representatne came to see us and gaxe us a full page ad for our annual Basketball boys went to Spencer to practice in their gym We are all prepared to take the tourney The Seniors had an almost successful class meeting Wabash Valley Tourney' We defeated Jefferson Township 31 to 13 Basketball boys pose for the photographer then play their second game in the tourney with the countv seat lads They proved too much for us and vuon 31 to 18 + '-- + 9- if i ' ' It 12-, ' A , I . - . - - .. 13- 3 ' - ' , 14- . .
