J 7 Business Is Booming! As more and more colleges require a toreign lan- guage. our language department's business is boom- ing. Four years ot Spanish, French, Latin, and Rus- sian are ottered. Attention is paid to the speaking and comprehending ot a language as well as to the grammatical aspects. A toreign language aids a student in English, in understanding cultures, philosophies, peoples, paral- lels and ditterences between countries and civiliza- tions, history ot language, and travel. Students are taking advantage ot the tourth year Russian course tor the tirst time this year. They are in a combination class with third year students. As in other languages, stories and novels are read and discussed in that particular language.
