Across the school campus echo the roll of drums, the sounds of brass instruments, and the shrill call of the leader's whistle. The Patrick Henry band is march- ing over its very own practice field. The band also marches in parades and at football games. An excellent rating was received for these efforts at the District Band Festival in Bristol. To raise money for new uniforms, mem- bers of the band sold foam rub- ber stadium cushions. ln January they presented a concert at Woodrow Wilson Jr. High School. At pep assemblies they were al- ways there to induce school spirit. A special pep band was taken to Lynchburg for the Patrick Henry versus E. C. Glass football game.
