Freshmen were greeted with many welcome signs and warm smiles by the upperclassmen. For Freshmen, 1987-88 was a year for remaking friends, being individuals, and becoming mature. That was a tough task, but they handled themselves very well. It was a new beginning for all of them, and the closeness of the class was unbelieveable! Their class, the class of 91 has only begun. These Are Memorable People During the four years we are in high school, we meet many people who become a part of our lives. Sometimes we forget these people. But some seem to influence our lives greatly. Some of these people are teachers, faculty members we meet in school. The faculty here at Henry helps us when we want to give up, and they try to make the four years of high school four of our best. We will never forget all the smiles we've received when we have needed them, and we thank them for being a part of this memorable time in our life. 44AA Mr. Kueng's version of the Monday morning blahs. «A Est-ce que tu parle Francais? ◄A Too much homework, Ms. Blomf A Miss. Knowing that the staff was young and inexperienced led to a greater challenge than one might like to think about. As the year progressed, trying to put together a;book that expressed our school wasn't easy. The students who made up the 1987-88 yearbook staff were quite unique, with each representing different aspects of our school. These individuals wanted to prove to themselves cTs well psfto the school that they could make a book that would represent what happened that year in history. Although some may not exactly have pulled their own weight, others madfe up for the lagging. Eventually they learned that being on a yearbook staff was a privilege, not a right. With hard work and determination this staff fulfilled its goal. As editors, we would like to extend our appreciation to our staff. Thanks for the memories. This year the Honors program had even more students participating than last year. These students worked harder since they had to work more rapidly in their classes. They truly are the World Champions! This fall, Minnesotans saw the Twins take the World Series championship. It wasn't easy. They almost lost the title to the St. Louis Cardinals. But with their fans' support, they came back to the dome and won the two remaining games There wasn't a person in Minnesota who wasn't a Twins fan, and Henry students were no different. As we walked down the halls, we saw Twins Tee-shirts, sweatshirts, and homer hankies everywhere. Even teachers were known to be twins fans. This was an exciting time in Minnesota, and we were easer to join in on all the excitement, including the Twins parade and rally. Students were allowed to uo to the parade and rally with permission from their parents. Needless to say, many students showed up in the streets of Minneapolis and St. Paul to catch a glimpse of the World Champs.
