Sno-Daze Once again, a new tradition at Henry was successful. The gym lobby was dressed for a celebration and ready for a party. The party began with dancing, laughter, and a bit of suspense. Suspense built throughout the night until the moment arrived for the royalty to begin their reign. The crowning of the royalty brought a loud roar of applause, as well as laughter, tears, and a consoling word for those who didn't win. More dancing followed the crowning and continued late into the night. Those who went to the dance left with a tired smile, dragging feet, and memories to last a lifetime. Black History Martin Luther King, a very well known black leader, brought recognition for black people in our nation. In taking notice of that recognition, students here at Henry, as well as students elsewhere, observed the holiday of Martin Luther King's birthday. Here at Henry, Black History Week started Feb. 18 with several programs. A speaker from KMOJ talked about gospel, blues, jazz, and rock music. Another speaker talked about famous black women. In 1963, on May 3, Dr. King gave a speech titled I Had A Dream. His dream will come true. im vvorid HONORS ABOVE; Someone we'll always remember. EAR FAR ABOVE; M. L. K., a man for all nations.
