The team had to work on basic skills, and fundamentals because there were many new players. The scores were close in a few of the matches, but the only win of the season came against North. Senior Robyn Petroske received All-Conference honors for spiking. The Junior Varsity team had many members, who worked hard and played well. They were coached by the inspiration of Mr. Malmberg. Individuals Pace C. C. Runners Both the boys and girls Cross Country team this year was coached by someone new. The boys team did well in competition and were coached by Mr. Richard Jacobson. Leading the boys team was Mike Edquist and John Armstrong. The girls team was made up of two girls, not enough to obtain a team score, but individually Kathy Milliren and Sue Otto did an excellent job of representing Henry. commented Coach Bruce McClellan. Sophomore Sue Otto worked very hard this year and qualified for State Cross Country competition. Sue won both the city and regional titles in record time. Sue set a course record at Nokomos course.
