Even though Minneapolis broke a record for having its coldest winter ever, the Henry students kept warm and active. There were games to keep every sports fan busy, and if the game wasn’t going as well as hoped, the dancelines kept the audiences alive. We had the delivery of Valegrams on the day of our Winter Pep Fest, and the last day of school before the energy break. Even though it was cold, everyone made it a fun and memorable winter. PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE SPIRITS . . . MR. SCROOGE! “Mr. Scrooge” was this year’s choir Christmas performance. The musical had a matinee and two night performances on December 14, 15, 16. The players had only two weeks to prepare for the show, and with the co-operation of the director, Mr. Sylwcs-tcr, and the Choir director, Mr. Traficantc, the play was a marvelous success. It truly brightened up the holiday season. (A) The cast of Mr. Scrooge presents their Grand Finale in song. (B) Scrooge (J. Victor) promises that he'll keep Christmas in his heart always. (C) During the “Dream of Christmas Past. Scrooge secs himself as a young man. (T. Hagstrom) while his fiance sings about a time Very Long Ago. (D) Tiny Tim (J. Reno) and his family celebrate their Christmas during the “Dream of Christmas Present. (E) After Scrooge has his terrible Dream of Christmas Future. he jumps for joy and repents for all of his past cruelty.

OUR NEW GYM! To many people of the Henry community it was a dream come true. After many years of hard work, meetings, planning, and waiting the school finally got its new gym. The dedication ceremony was held Sunday, February 5th, and the band, Riflcttes, Guide-ons, and dancclincs performed. Many important community members spoke, and old alumni were acknowledged. Finally, the Henry Community Gymnasium became ours! (A) After the outside shell of the gym was finished, the builders started to pave the parking lot. (B) Mr. Burton accepts the gym at the dedication ceremony. (C) The new boy’s locker room’s in the basement. (D) A builder puts the finishing touches on the doorway. (F.)
