Not Just Any Way, Shape, Or Form . . . might be the motto of this year’s gymnastics team in their efforts towards perfection. The team was successful in placing fourth in City. Three of Henry 's gymnasts also placed in districts, which enabled them to go on to state competition. They were Brad Hall and John Hassler, who placed first and third consecutively on the parallel bars; and John Burns, who placed third on the horse. Whjl Jo vou think of, Brad Hall, when you re in competition? Effort Concentration Skill Determination are what Bill Crooker needs to perform on the horse.

Snow Job . . . For those who enjoy variety in outdoor winter sports, skiing provides three different events. Henry's skiing team had participants in all three areas for only the second year. The team was supported by three jumpers. Norm Hansen and Jeff Kline, who attend Olson Jr. High, and Jim Krave, a senior. Disqualifications in the slalom meet prevented the team from placing 5th in city and a chance to go to state competition. They Just Wanted To Go To State . . . Henry’s hockey team was impressively rated in both city and state this year. They had a winning streak of eleven games when they met Southwest, a long-time rival. But a few bad breaks proved fatal for the Pats as Southwest went ahead 3-2 with six seconds left to play. Pep Club summarized the feelings of the fans by their sign Southwest ain't the best . With an 8-2-0 record, Henry tied for second, and a draw from the hat gave us fourth. Senior center John Sheridan led the city in scoring with 45 points, and as many a fan has said. Henry should go to state for John Sheridan . Senior goalie, Jeff Policy, gets a deserved break as Henry swamps Vocational 15-3.
