. . . And We Can't Be Stopped! Henry's basketball team ended up with a 10-4 City Conference record. Although at the beginning of the season they were a green team , they gained some valuable experience throughout the season that was greatly needed in regions. As senior forward John Soderquist commented, Wecan beat anyone if we really want to. The captains of this year's team were Bill Hunter, Ellis Sibley, and John Soderquist. Sophomore's Show Potential The Sophomore basketball team ended the season with a second place in the sophomore tournament, just behind Southwest. Their regular season record had them 11 -6. Their games were an hour and a half before every varsity game, and although they had little support, they gained valuable experience for varsity competition. Mr. Washington, the coach, commented, You might have been surprised, but I wasn't. They all played well.” Opponents use a press on Henry's Jerry Manion. as Kurt Cassidy awaits to assist.
