Everyday sends to their graves obscure men whom timidity prevented from making a first effort: who, if they could have been induced to begin, would have in all probability gone great lengths in the career of fame. The fact is that to do anything in the world worth doing we must not stand back shivering and thinking of the cold and danger but jump in and scramble through as well as we can. Richard Cardinal Cushing This was our time of courage. We learned the value of individual thinking and united effort. We began to prepare for our place in the world. Ambitious seniors display their imaginations by unique Homecoming decorations Senior spirit and organisation lasts throughout long day of hard work. Sophomores Display Vibrant Enthusiasm As years pass the sophomore class is becoming more a part of senior high than in previous years. The Class of ’72 has discovered a new enthusiasm. They are bright and spirited with a lot of courage and desire to succeed. This year the sophomore sports season was much more worthwhile and exciting for the whole class of ’72 because it was flavored with a new attraction— the sophomore cheerleaders. It is said that this year’s sophomore class is the largest ever to come to Henry1. They arc vibrant and powerful and we expect a lot from this class in the years to come. 66 A microscopic organism comes to life a sophomores kathy ('ottam. I.inda Schmidt. Seventh grade was their year for finding out what school is like and now they are using the information the)' have learned. While they appear confused and excited, they catch on fast to the busy world of school life. The seventh graders arc eager to discover who the) arc and what their generation is all about. The day started out with the bustle and excitement of the auditorium, which included a variety of skits, acts, and dances. The climax of the auditorium was the breathtaking coronation of our queen. Denise Elfstrom. As the day wore on and the time for the game approached, anticipation rose high. All were fired up and ready to cheer Henry to victory. The football team proved worthy of such support, and beat Vocational 20-0. Amidst the elaborately decorated Homecoming auditorium.
