National Honor Society Scholarship, character, service, and leadership are the four qualifications for a member of the National Honor Society. Each year there are two inductions; one in the fall and one in the spring. At our 1955 spring induction something new was done concerning new members. Our foreign exchange student, Eva Petrides and a new student, Dixie Lee Ellingsworth were inducted as honorary members. Also three senior girls who had brought themselves up to meet the necessary qualifications were inducted. These three were Mari Olson, Carolyn Flit-tie, and Rita Hoeschen.
