Courageou Ch mists Nearly sixty fearless students enrolled in the AP. Chemistry classes, regardless of the dangers they might have been subjected to. According to one rather concerned student, lf a chemical doesnt burn or stain, it will probably turn you into soap. This analysis may have been a slight exaggeration, but the students did deal vvith a number of potentially dangerous chemicals in their many experi- ments throughout the year. L'lt's just a chance you have to take for the sake of learning, added one student: and learn they did. Mr. Blevins, noted for his fine teaching abilities, helped his students thoroughly prepare for the AP. Chemistry exam. Most of the stu- dents took and passed this test in May, thus earning college credit. Cther exciting science classes included Science Problems, biology. With 600 students involved in different sports over throughout the year, our school was flocked with jocks of every shape and color. Often the interminable, grueling hours they put in practicing was overlooked. But, without this our school wouldn't have the trophies time, and awards that line the front office walls. Spectators often caught the sport scene fever. Parents. teachers. and of course, 'tb-if .41 . Y cj, ali . Qi rted our athletes in their en- friends suppo deavors. Sometimes the games were sparse- o to a lot of sporting ly attended. Ml can't g nts because l have to work, was a com- eve mon excuse for many. But, whether the games were attended in body or spirit, every- ' h d one was glad to hear that the Patriots a th all the wins that the collected, we really didnlt take 'Ano won another game.
