As you sat in the center ot the Quad you took a long look around. The size was overwhelming. Before 7:30 you saw nearly 3,000 students arrive to start the day, each dressed in his own style. Some talked with friends about their Friday night dates while others crammed for biology tests. You also saw many teachers on their way to classes. some with new lesson plans and others ready to pop a quiz on unsuspecting students. At lunchtime the scene was more relaxed. On your right hundreds ot students lined up to buy lunch, while all around you the variety of students sat and carried on. A rock band played and people danced. lt you had waited a few minutes an exciting class competition would have shown the seniors' skill at tug-ot- war. A trip to a few classrooms revealed many ditlerent teaching styles and subjects ' everything from auto shop to trigonom- etry. You decided to stay alter school, and while walking by the gym a volleyball game caught your eye. But the roar from the stadi- um caught your ear. A short walk in the right direction gave you quite an eyetul -- a marching band, drill team, flags, cheer- leaders, and a lively crowd, all there to view a football game.
